Sexting Tragedy

On this article they talk about a girl name jessica that committed suicide because her ex/boyfriend sent a nude photo to everyone. He sent it to one of his peers but he sent it another person and so on, and so on. The nude photo was news all over different high-schools. Jessica tried to go with the school's authorities to stop the bullying, but obviously they couldn't do much about it. She then went to the news and gave an interview to spread the word to girls to stop them of making the same mistakes than she did. A month after she graduated she hung herself and now her parents are suing the school, because they didnt take any severe actions against the bullies. Yes, it was a mean thing to do. But in first place, whatttaaa heell was the girl thinking when she sent the nude picture to her boyfriend! now in this days we have a lot of examples of this situations, she should've known better. Second, the school cant do anything about it, because is off school activities ... it had nothing to do with school.. only that the kids attended to the same high-school. Third, the parents are in grieve, they want to blame it on the school. But honestly if they really want to point fingers, they should've paid more attention to her own daughter, maybe they could've prevent it and let her know that its not the end of the world. they could've move to another city, etc. etc.
Jessica committed suicide a month after she graduated, it didnt have ANYTHING to do with the school. The parents should think twice what they are doing... the only excuse I can give to the parents.. it's that they are in grieve. They know they could've done something more to prevent the death of her daughter, so now they are looking for someone to blame. We know that this could've been prevented, but it didnt .. it's a tragedy.. but now instead of pointing fingers, we should let anyone that's out there of the consecuences that bullies can bring and girls or boys should be more aware of their own actions.

Technology

Technology was integrated in my education in many ways. The use of computers, the assignments in the internet, powerpoint presentations, real player, flash media, the "new pizzarrones" in the school are a step closer to technology. I honestly cant think on a project that represents technology integrated in my education. But the project that is more fresh in my mind is the Roto Animation we just did in computer class. I remember it; first because it just happened and second because we used a camera and computers to make it and it was fun.
A specific project I remmeber is one we made with Mr. Whitten were we learned how to record a song in a program called real player. I remember this because it was challenging but a lot of fun.
I dont recall any moment that a teacher should've integrated technology in their lessons. They integreated techonology enough, to think and remember a specific moment where they needed the use of technology.
Sometimes the teachers dont use technology in their class, because it wasn't necessary. Beside most of the time we are using the "pizzarrones" so thats technology "in use".

Short Film

Short Film:
Creating a short film.... i'm pretty excited about this. I've always wanted to create a short film. I have a lot of ideas for this project. Im going to study comunications, so this project will help me to give an idea for making short film, commercials, etc. and what things i will need to know, what things i will learn on my way and all the little details i will need to improve to be better on my field. What i need for this project is patience, because i know i can do this but the lack of knowledge i have on this particular things may influence on my final project. i know that it may not turned out the way i want to, but i hope that it will at least make me feel good about my project. i am looking forward to make this project.

MyRotoAnimation

This assignment was reallly great but frustrating! What i did like, was the overall project, just at the end i could appreciate my project and it looks really cool. What i didn't like was that because in many times i didn't knew what to do, i got frustrated and i know i could've done better and had a better project. But it was fun and we learned and accomplish something, that we never thought possible of doing. :) If you were to do this assignment with next year's seniors, i think you should give them more time. Because i think time is what we missed in order to have an amazing project! This is a cool assignment, but what we need is more time to figure things out so we can have projects as cool as the ones you showed us.

FlashMedia

Our last poject was to make a flash animation, although it was extremely frustated i did enjoy to do it. It was frustrated, because i didnt have background knowledge about Flash. In the university im gonna study communications and i need to learn more about flash and be a total pro, so i would like to have like a couple of courses to learn it. In this project i did a little dude that received a ball an turned it into a piano, and while he played the song, little notes appeared and disappeared from the screen. It was fun, but like i said before it was super frustrated. But i do want to learn more about it so i can use it in my future. I dont think it was , but i am pleased with the outcome, because from not knowing anything about Flash, I made a cool animation. :) The way i deal with my frustration was to talked to ruslan and the teacher and they helped me to overcome my frustration. The frustrations were that at the begininng i couldnt do anything i wanted, like to move the notes or to turned the ball into a piano, but in the process i learned to move things and to turned them into something else. If i had to extend my animation, i would make the piano turned into a microphone and make my little dude sing.
I did enjoy this project, but with frustrations :)

Family.Weddings.Family

In about three months i'm gonna have a bigger family, one of my uncles its going to get married. It was about time, because he is almost 40 and his time was now. He is going to marry a great women, she is so cool! i love her and she makes my uncle so happy, he is a changed man since he met her. And all my family loves her to, the wedding its going to be awesome! Its gonna be a wedding of about 250 people, something like that, but we are going to party like rockstars! all my cousing are coming and my uncles, its going to be a great wedding, a great day and night! I love weddings, because they are like new year, people are more happy than usual. And that makes the environment better. My soon to be aunt, its great. She is caring, loving and really funny. I cant wait for the wedding to happen. I know I'll have a blast and i'll enjoy every minute of it. I also know that I'm not going to be the only one, but all of the guests too. I also need to see what my dress it's going to be, because I'm a made of honor! So I have to follow the rules of the dress. I just cant wait for that day to come.

I chose this tree because it really kept my eyes, i think its beautiful with the sunset and everything. And also, because the branches are great, that's an easier way for me to put the pictures of my family tree.
i also like the fact that its not that a colorful tree, it has shadows and it make the tree look great!!

this is my second post and i'm going to talk about social media revolution. The other day i watched a video that explain how everything involving social.media is increasing. the video has a lot of interesting facts; for example did you know that it took the Radio; 38 years - TV; 13 - Internet; 4 years - Ipod; 3 years to reach 50 millions users and in Facebook;100 million users in only 9 months!!! wow! and i thought i was one of 100 face addicts! haha I also was impressed that if facebook were a country it would the world's 4th largest country! this shows how social media is now a revolution. People dont worry that much about how they are gonna show themselves in public, but they worry how to update their profile, how people can see their business in internet, "do you like what they are saying ABOUT you R BRAND? better..".
People can update anywhere, anytime in their phones. Imagine what that means for bad customer experience?.. now we no longer search for the news, the news find us.. eventually everything will find us via social media. This revolution its a great thing, we help making our life and the others easy. there's just one little thing i dont like that much; that now people have lost the common sense of talking to people in person.. i hate that.. now they text, email, bb pin, facebook, myspace, blog, etc etc etc and that ; i HATE!
I was amazed by some of the things they said in the video, they were funny, interesting, amazing, etc. Everything that you see in the video is pretty interesting! This video is a fact, instead of going against it we should go with it. We have to be aware of every little change in this social media revolution.. it is our future.
